Kaplan Financial India is owned and managed by Ven Subramanian, who has over 14 years of diverse corporate finance, operational and entrepreneurial experience and is based in Bangalore, India.  

Prior to starting Kaplan Financial India and Sherwood, Ven was Chief Financial Officer of an international apparel company based in Los Angeles. Ven has advised US based companies in corporate finance, restructuring and business continuity. He has also assisted US based VCs in setting up Indian companies, incubation, due diligence, tax & statutory compliance, finance & accounting, besides handling wind-downs as well.

Ven holds an MBA in Finance from Arizona State University and has completed advanced doctoral level Finance and Tax courses at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
